Best Katsu I think I've ever had. I've had a lot of Katsu. I just stopped in here because it was on the way home and I was craving some Katsu, and wow. I will definitely be back.
Low key atmosphere, teriyaki aroma, and very pleasant service when placing our order. We enjoyed the Teriyaki Salmon & Spicy Chicken Teriyaki plates. Healthy portions reminding us of Hawaii's local style portions minus mac salad. Both the chicken and salmon were cooked to perfection co.ing to us moist and flavorful. I ordered a side Kim chee and was told there was no more. As we dined the chef came to our table and handed me a small cup of Kim chee at no charge. We found that touching as well as generous. The foot traffic kept the restaurant busy with take-out orders. Our impression as we ate and watched folks pickup their order was that Soy Teriyaki has a decent percentage of return customers which led us to speculate that the restaurant is managed well, food quantity and quality is above average, and the customer service is first rate. We thanked the hostess paying compliments for a great first time visit. Mos def, we'll be back.
Absolutely one of my go-to spots. As a bigger person I really need a place that has quality portions without breaking the bank, and this place is absolutely on my list!

I never post on yelp but this place is a must try! ~$15 ish for a good amount of food. I love the spicy chicken!! The spicy sauce that comes with it is really good as well. Service was super fast- you just need to order at the cash register or you can call ahead which I like to do personally!
Best spicy chicken teriyaki plate around Portland. I LOVE coming here. Its ready so fast I barely have time to use their bathroom before its ready! You gotta try it out! Huge menu too. I always get extra spicy sauce. Enjoy
Consistently top notch food. I typically order extra salad to go with my dish. Definitely recommend this place. A bit pricey, but worth it.
